Seabuckthorn seed oil
Seabuckthorn seed oil is composed of palmitic acid, palmitoleic acid, stearic acid, oleic acid, linoleic acid, linolenic acid and other beneficial fatty acids.
Among them, unsaturated fatty acids are as high as 70%. Carotenoids and vitamin E in seabuckthorn fruit oil and many trace elements such as vitamin A, selenium, magnesium, zinc, iron and manganese are indispensable to human body higher.

Seabuckthorn seed oil is extracted from seabuckthorn seeds. At present, there are several methods to extract seabuckthorn seed oil. One is traditional pressing method. The other is supercritical carbon dioxide extraction.
Method for extracting sea buckthorn seed oil
The pressing method is to obtain seabuckthorn seed oil by pressing seabuckthorn seeds, with a low oil yield of only 3%.
The solvent extraction rate is as high as 6.0%, but the residual solvent cannot be completely removed, which affects the quality of sea buckthorn oil. In order to avoid the existence of residual toxicity, non-toxic oil is used for extraction, but the sea buckthorn oil cannot be separated from the extraction oil, and can only be used in the form of a mixture, which affects the quality of sea buckthorn oil, and the yield is not high.
Supercritical CO2 extraction method
The supercritical CO extraction rate of sea buckthorn oil can reach 8.12%, the active substance content is high, there is no environmental pollution, the oil quality is good, and there is no solvent residue.
The supercritical CO2 extraction method mainly uses liquid CO2 to extract crushed seabuckthorn seeds in high-pressure equipment to extract the oil contained therein;
Then seabuckthorn seed oil and liquid carbon dioxide are separated in a high-pressure separator to obtain seabuckthorn seed oil. The separated CO2 is a gas-liquid mixture, which becomes liquid for recycling after pressurization.
The seabuckthorn seed oil obtained by this method is always maintained at a temperature of 50°C-60°C during the extraction process. Liquid CO is also a volatile substance and is not easy to stay in the oil. The obtained sea-buckthorn oil does not contain residual solvents, the active ingredients are not damaged, the sea-buckthorn seed oil is of good quality, and the yield is about 8.12%.
The supercritical CO2 extraction method is considered to be the most effective extraction method with the least residue, and it is also the most advanced equipment for extracting seabuckthorn seed oil.
